The breathtaking scenery is best enjoyed when on foot or bike. We loved hiking in the Swiss Alps. The hiking trails in Switzerland are extensive and are complemented by the rail system. It's easy to get to trailheads using public transportation. Upon your arrival, you will find storage lockers (if you plan to come back), or you can often arrange to send your luggage to your next destination so that you may hike directly there. This

Most city's offer wonderful walking tours either with a guide, or self guided with the help of a booklet. In the righthand links column we have listed websites to help you with walking and bike tours.
In Copenhagen, 1300 bikes have been made available for use about the city. By making a deposit (of roughly $3.00US) you may tour the city using the method most favored by Copenhageners. Your deposit is
returned to you when you bring your bike back.
